Wild Horses in Colorado

One of the many things that makes Colorado a rustic, country western state, is its native habitat for wild horses. You can see wild horses on BLM land, or visit wild horse sanctuaries. Seeing wild horses in their natural habitat is a fun activity with friends and family or as a solo mission.

Steadfast Steeds Wild Horse Sanctuary Glade Park

Visit a wild horse sanctuary outside Grand Junction. Steadfast Steeds is a horse sanctuary on the Western Slope that allows visitors to book a tour. Currently riding the horses is reserved for volunteers. Donors can also sponsor a Mustang to help offset the monthly costs of care.
